Sandals and Sundowners - Windowmaker Track, Castle Hill

Join us for a relaxed Friday after-work wander up Castle Hill via the Windowmaker Track - with a small twist. Bring one drink in your pack, and we will enjoy a quiet sip together at the top before strolling back down to the cars (usually the road).

We will meet near the bottom of Castle Hill and make our way up the Windowmaker Track, one of the shorter but steeper walking routes on the hill. The climb is a good little workout, with rocky sections, uneven ground, and a few steeper pinches along the way, but we will take it at an easy, social pace with time to pause, catch our breath, and enjoy the afternoon light.

At the top, we will find a spot to take in the views over Townsville, enjoy a golden-hour drink together, and then descend via the road for a straightforward return. A head torch is recommended for the walk back down, as it may be getting dark by the time we return.

Bring:
- One drink of your choice
- Water
- Comfortable walking shoes with a good grip
- A head torch

A short climb, good company, and sunset over Townsville - not a bad way to end the week.
