Ethel Creek Falls

S = Duration: Short - 2 to 4 hours
3 = Terrain: Formed or lightly used track, some uneven ground, minor creek crossing, and short rough sections
3 = Fitness: Moderate - suitable for walkers with general fitness who are comfortable walking for several hours
A pleasant Paluma day walk from the village to Ethel Creek Falls, with rainforest, creek scenery, morning tea, and a possible swim.

AWTGS = 3 - mostly on-track walking with a less travelled section, creek crossing, uneven ground, and possible slippery surfaces

Join us for a relaxed walk from Paluma village to Ethel Creek Falls in Paluma Range National Park. This is a lovely rainforest walk that follows tracks from the village towards Cloudy Creek before continuing along a quieter, less travelled route to Ethel Creek Falls.

Cape Cleveland

Location: Cocoa Creek to Cape Cleveland, Bowling Green Bay National Park

X = Duration: Extra long - more than 8 hours
7 = Terrain: Very rough terrain, sustained rock hopping and scrambling, coastal headlands, mangroves, beaches, bushwalking off-track, and route-finding required
8 = Fitness: Strenuous - fit, experienced walkers only
A long and demanding coastal bushwalk from the Cocoa Creek area towards Cape Cleveland, following the Cleveland Bay coastline through remote beaches, rocky headlands, coastal bushland, and rugged off-track terrain.

AWTGS = 5 - difficult off-track walking with sustained rough terrain, rock hopping, scrambling, route-finding, and remote coastal travel
Distance: Approximately 20-26 km return, depending on vehicle access and the route taken

Meeting time: 5:30 am at Alligator Creek for carpooling

7 = Terrain: Very rough terrain, thick scrub, exposed scrambling, steep ascents/descents, and route-finding required
8 = Fitness: Strenuous - fit, experienced walkers only
C = Modifier: Climb - significant elevation gain and sustained steep ascent/descent
A strenuous full-day summit walk with more than 1,000 m of ascent and descent, steep and loose terrain, rocky creek travel, scrambling, rope-assisted sections, exposed ridges, and remote mountain country.

L = Duration: Long - 6 to 8 hours
3 = Terrain: Established but rough walking track, creek crossings, uneven surfaces, and a sustained climb
4 = Fitness: Moderate - a full-day walk requiring reasonable endurance over approximately 16 km
A full-day rainforest and creek walk along the historic Dalrymple Gap track, following an old route across the Cardwell Range to the historic stone bridge.

AWTGS = 4 - established but rough track with creek crossings, steep sections, uneven surfaces, and some potentially slippery terrain

Join Cherry for a full-day walk along the historic Dalrymple Gap Walking Track in Girringun National Park, north-west of Ingham. This beautiful Wet Tropics walk passes through open eucalypt forest and lush rainforest, follows picturesque creeks, and climbs the Cardwell Range to one of the most interesting historic features of the track - the old stone-pitched bridge near Dalrymple Gap.
