Where - The Blue Gum Circuit

Rated- 3. For the moderate level bushwalker. Due to the elevation change a moderate level of fitness is encouraged ie you should be doing regular exercise that makes you puff.
Terrain type - On Track hike. Creek crossings,The track ascends and descends steeply - about 400 m elevation (approx 2 Castle Hills).
Duration ( approx) of walking per day - about 5 hours. Anticipate being back in Paluma village by 2-3 pm
Distance covered ~ 11 kms
Meeting place - At the Bluewater Community Centre at 6:30 for carpooling. Then we meet at 7:30 at the Paluma Village green near the community centre.

About the walk:
The Blue Gum Creek is on the south side of Paluma Village and is a day walk that takes you on a loop across Blue gum Creek, Star Valley, past Triple Falls and Old Wolfram mines. The Blue Gum Creek hikeis mostly on bush tracks in the forest.There is some creek rock hopping at the bottom of the valley.
We will be stopping at Triple Falls for a quick break before we head down to Blue gum valley and check out the lagoon on Bluegum creek.
Lunch will be at the Miner Creek Falls.
You will get to see some of the old tin mining era relics in this area, especially around Miners creek and falls.
