Town Common Conservation Park
Shelly Beach, Many Peaks, Mt Marlow
Leader: Wendy Williams
Rated: Easy-Medium. On-Track. Good for beginner level bushwalkers who can do a 5 hour walk. Moderate level of fitness is required.
Walk Description:
We might change the plan on the day - but the general gist of the plan is to take advantage of the lowtide and make our way around Pallarenda to Shelly Beach, then along the Towns Common Trail up to M from the Northern end to finish up at Cape Pallarenda
Approximate Time/Distance: 6 hours return (including breaks), 20 ish kms
What to bring:
Sunscreen and hat
Insect repellent
Shoes appropriate for walking on rocky, uneven surfaces
Morning tea & trail snacks
Water (I would recommend a minimum of 3 litres for this walk)
Camera
First aid kit/snake bite kit
Long pants or gaitors for the short-cuts we might choose to take to explore.
Meeting point: End of Cape Pallarenda Rd, near the old Quarantine Station buildings and the footbridge that goes over the creek at 7:00 am - see map pin.
