Long weekend Mt Spec club activity

Number of Participants – 15 maximum.
Meeting at 0900 (9 am) to start walking at 0930. Estimated conclusion on the Monday is 1500 to 1700 (3 to 5 pm).
Car Pooling – participants to make own travel arrangements to Lake Paluma and return. Car pooling may be available. If you are happy to car pool your car, please advise and we will endeavour to put those who may need a lift in touch with you. Car pooling is advisable due to limited space at the dam car park.
Interested participants should attend the September meeting for full details and organise car pooling.
Saturday late morning start hike in to DCK Hut, maybe via Crystal Ck Falls or otherwise direct, depending on start time.
Sunday explore Mt Spec region - rainforests, waterfalls (examples may be Foxlees LO, Gold, Junction Falls/ Spa pool. Dolby Ck - Johnstone's pool etc), small creeks, Buttercup Lookout / Mt Spec for orchids. Depends on what feel like doing that day and what did Saturday arvo.
Monday walk out and drive home. Maybe morning walk explore somewhere before heading for dam - depends on which route use to drive home.
Hopefully orchids are in flower, and bowers are active (Catbird and Golden bower birds). October can be a great time at Mt Spec.
