When- Saturday, 3rd September
What- Crystal Creek Falls & Gold Creek Falls.
One of our walk leaders Ian Wallace is leading a walk to Crystal Creek Falls and Gold Creek Falls.
This is a good moderate level hike and has been specially put on for those wanting some on-trail hikes with the Townsville Bushwalking Club crew.
This bushwalk is about 5-6 hours in duration
Must be 18+years to participate.

Crystal Creek Falls & Gold Creek Falls

Rated: Medium - rough terrain,creek crossings. This would be a good walk if you are awanting an intrailk walk with the TBWC. steep trails. Fitness level - I would consider it a moderate grade track. If you can walk up Castle hill's Dianella or Goat track and can do that for a 6 hour period - you should be right.
Meeting: Meeting location and time to be emailed. We will likely be starting at 6:30 am
Walk Description:
𝗪𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝗺, making our way through the rainforest to Big Crystal Creek Falls. We’ll spend a bit of time at the falls, this will provide an opportunity for a lunch break, a chance to look around the area (there are some great photography opportunities here) and there is a nice swimming hole too.
We will then head onward and upwards along the track to Gold Creek Falls and spend some time there.
Time permitting, we will come back via Torsten's Rock garden and Wilfred's lookout.
The hike should be around 6 hours return (including breaks).

It's up to the walk leader to accept your walk registration. Club members are given priority at the leader's discretion.
