Join us for an adventurous hike to Saltwater Gorge, a little-known gem within Clemant State Forest. This secluded gorge and waterfall remain well hidden from all but the keenest explorers.
Expect varied terrain, including long grass, slippery rocks, and uneven footing as we make our way through the grasslands. Our journey will take us along remote bush, along rocky creeks, and into a picturesque gorge where we can take a break and enjoy the scenery before returning along the same route.
This is an off-track hike, so a sense of adventure is required. Good fitness is required, as the hike will take anywhere from 4 to 7 hours depending on the groupβs pace.
What to Bring:
Sturdy hiking boots
2β3 litres of water
Snacks and lunch
Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, long sleeves recommended)
Gaiters or long pants (to protect against long grass)
First aid kit and personal medication
