About this event
Leave your to-do list behind and join us for a refreshing nature experience inspired by the Japanese practice of forest bathing.

Unlike a traditional hike this gentle guided walk encourages you to slow down, engage your senses, and fully appreciate the beauty of the natural environment.
Scientific research has found time spent mindfully immersed in nature can reduce stress, improve mood, support sleep, lower blood pressure and promote overall wellbeing.
Join us for a hike where the goal isn't just reaching the destination, but finding a little more clarity, calm and connection along the way.
Experience the restorative power of nature, one mindful step at a time.

HIKE: an on trail hike to Gorge, Rope & Loop Falls, the trail is an uneven, rocky surface with shallow creek crossings. A short and relatively easy rope assisted climb up the rock face so we can sit about Rope Falls. The section to Loop Falls will be strenuous and challenging for some but walking at a slow pace with opportunities to stop to catch your breath and hydrate means this is achievable for a beginner. A single trekking pole can make this section easier to traverse.

GROUP SIZE: the group numbers for this event will be no more than 10.

DISTANCE: the total distance of this hike will be ~5km

MAX ELEVATION: <250m

FITNESS LEVEL: suitable for people with a basic level of fitness (you can easily walk Castle Hill) and the ability to walk on rocky, uneven and steep terrain while walking at a slow-moderate pace. This event is not suitable for people with mobility limitations or current hip, knee or ankle injuries. Not suitable for children under 12, children over 12 need to be agile and able to independently manage the terrain and engage appropriately in mindfulness activities.

Note: heavy rain 24 hours prior to the event may require the event to be cancelled for safety reasons.

Other event changes may be made at short notice to accommodate prevailing weather conditions eg the hike may be shortened to Rope Falls only.
Feel WELCOME - connect with like-minded people

Feel COMFORTABLE - safe, non-competitive environment

Feel SUPPORTED - no prior experience required
