Leader: Ian Wallace
Description:
A club classic walk, up Palm Creek (St Margaret's Creek system) to the Terraces, Ultima Falls, Garden Wall, and High Camp.
A creek-based walk with many waterfalls, one of the most scenic creeks in the region (and the state) and one of the local gems.
The club had been bushwalking St Margaret's Creek system since 1966 ! Pioneers of the great local bushwalks that bushwalkers enjoy today.
Type of walk:
Full day hike, creek based and cross country, rough terrain. Rock hopping, boulder scrambles, rockface traverses, scrub and vines, uneven footing, slippery rocks, steep climbs. On way out, includes a stop at the at the Rockslides for a swim, then the walk back to the cars. And most important, ice creams at the roadhouse on the way home to finish the day off. A good day out for our adventurous bushwalkers.
