Hidden Gorges, Mt Zero

Rated: Hard. Creek-based off-track, rugged terrain, steep climbs.

Description:
This trip is through Private property in the vicinity of Mt Zero, Taravale.
We travel to and camp at the top of Return Creek falls, where we will be checking out Narke falls on the way in.
We drive to Hell hole gorge, explore that and then drive to Button Rock which we will climb, before returning to our camp site at Return Creek.
If we get time, we scramble to the bottom of Return creek falls, explore before climbing back up to the campsite.
We pack up camp and return to Paluma by evening.
All three falls/gorges are very spectacular and Button rock has been called the Mini-Ayres rock, even though much smaller.
We are calling for early nominations including indications if people have suitable 4WD's and space to take extra people. It is what will allow us to work out how many people we can say yes to on this trip.
We will be limiting numbers as per the wishes of the property owners.
Property Access conditions include:
Proof of COVID vaccination status – double vax minimum.
Restrictions on use (commercial, social media) of photos taken on the property.
What to bring:
Your own car-camping equipment for one night incl. tents, sleeping bag, mat, cooking utensils. day packs, water and meals. Please carry water for 2 days.
Fees: non-members $5

b) please let us know if you have a high clearance 4wd vehicle and if you can take a few people with you.
