About the walk:
We will walk the Bluegum Circuit in a clockwise direction, starting along the H-Track.
Along the track we will be taking a detour to visit Triple Falls. Then we continue along the track till we come to a lagoon [on Star River] and then continue along to Miner Creek Falls. From here we start our ascent out of the valley back up to Paluma Village.
What to expect:
- Steep and uneven sections with ropes in place to assist in a couple of places
-Rock hopping & Scrambling
-Downstream from the lagoon, there is no well-defined track
What to bring:
-Water: 3-4 litres
-Sterilisation tablets if youโre planning to refill your water from creeks
-Electrolytes if needed
-Sunscreen & hat
-Insect repellent
-Shoes appropriate for walking on rocky, uneven surfaces
-Dry clothes and maybe thongs for after the walk
-Swimming togs & towel if planning to swim
-Trail snacks, morning tea and lunch
-Salt for leeches
-Rain poncho
-Camera
-First-aid kit and snake bite bandage
