Next bushwalk - Unnamed Waterfall, Girringun National Park
An off-track remote wilderness exploratory adventure.
Continuing our recent theme of off-track wilderness exploring, this Saturday we try this remote waterfall.
Duration - Two days
Require camping gear
Rated - Hard.
Pre-Registration / approval with the walk leader is essential. Register ASAP to reserve a spot.

Secateurs are mandatory!!!
This is a remote rainforest creek bushwalk. You may be walking in the water, there will be slippery rocks, uneven footing, slippery tree roots, tangled vines, lots of waot-a-while and gimpie gimpie, all that good fun adventure. The rewards are great scenery, adventure, a sense of achievement, and great company. From Wallaman Falls, we drive and hike down the creek to the top of a hidden waterfall. 3 km one way, which will take all day due to the thick vegetation.
Fully wo days hike, anticipate back at the cars around 5 pm Sunday depending on conditions and group.
Wear appropriate footwear, i.e., enclosed sturdy shoes that grip on slippery rocks.
Drinking water - carry 1-2 lt, refill from creeks as required (but suitably treat/filter any water refills from natural sources, or carry 3+ lt). The club also recommends use of electrolytes during the day.
Bring food and snacks to suits your energy needs for the bushwalking.
Bushwalkers should bring their own personal (minimal) first aid kit, headtorch, and whistle.
Own camping gear, etc.
Luen will also have his personal minimal first aid kit and PLB. The club does not provide a group first aid kit.
Fees: non-members $5
Clothing- as it off-track bushwalking, long sleeve clothing or gaiters is recommended. Otherwise you may have sun burn and cuts/scratches on exposed skin at the end of the day.
Must be over 18yrs to participate.
