Walk Leader: Luen Warneke
Location: Paluma Range National Park, North Queensland, Australia
Difficulty: Grade 5, off-track, difficult & steep.
Distance: Approximately 10 km one-way depending on route
Duration: Allow 5-9 hours return
About:
Starting at the Paluma Dam, follow the Paluma Dam to Jourama Falls Track marked trail. The path is primarily straightforward, but expect steep and uneven terrain. After covering the major part of this track, a subtle divergence indicates the start of your off-road venture. After about 10 km from the car, you'll find the remote beauty of Little Gin Creek. Though the falls themselves are not that spectacular, further downstream are a few more swimming pools and cascades beckon, each one more inviting than the last.
Meeting place: will be emailed closer to the time.
