About this event

SUNDAY 2 AUGUST - Castle Rock + Paradise Beach

REGISTRATION WITH THE WALK LEADER IS ESSENTIAL. PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW.

RATED:
MEDIUM HARD - long grass, some scrub, three hills, beach walking

DESCRIPTION
This is a great coastal day walk on Cape Cleveland. We are taking a different route to normal so the first 2 km is exploratory as we bash our way through long grass and scrub, vines etc (all that fun stuff).
In the gullies we may encounter a lot of Blue Tiger butterflies.
There are three steep hills. Two along the route between beaches (following rough steep tracks), and the final steep climb to Castle Rock (no track). To clamber on top of Castle Rock, for the best beach view, is superb (the rock summit does challenge some though, especially if windy).
Lunch will either be at Castle Rock or down on Paradise Beach. There will be opportunity for swim at the beach.

WALK DETAILS
