SUNDAY 9 AUGUST - Lower Little Crystal Creek Falls
Introduction to creek based and offtrack walking
REGISTRATION WITH THE WALK LEADER IS ESSENTIAL. PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW.
DESCRIPTION
An introductory walk to explore the lower reaches of Little Crystal Creek. There is no track - this walk will be all cross country - including a steep scrubby hill, and some rock hopping followed by long grass, some more scrub to bash through with uneven footing (there has been burn-off in the area, so hopefully not too much long grass / scrub). This walk Includes a ravine / gorge explore, and a great waterfall and pool for a swim. This is a good introduction to the type of off track cross country walking the TBWC does.
FITNESS
It is not a long distance, but reasonable off-track fitness is required for the steep hill climb and rock hopping.
