About this event

When: Saturday 13 June to Sunday 14 June 2026
Location: To be decided
Leaders: Luen and Adrian
Grade: TBA - technical canyoning trip
Distance: TBA
RSVP: [email protected]

Join Luen and Adrian for a technical overnight canyoning trip on Saturday, 13 and Sunday, 14 June. The final location and route are still being decided and will depend on conditions, water levels, weather, access, and leader assessment closer to the date.

This will be an adventurous overnight trip involving canyoning, abseiling/rappelling, wet rock, slippery surfaces, steep terrain, creek travel, and movement in remote areas. Participants must have previous canyoning and/or abseiling experience and be comfortable wearing a harness and helmet for extended periods, following technical instructions, moving safely around cliffs and waterfalls, and carrying overnight gear.

This is not a beginner canyoning trip. Attendance will be at the leaders' discretion, and numbers may be limited depending on the route selected, group experience, and conditions. Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness, be confident in rough terrain, and be prepared for a full weekend outdoors in a remote environment.

Final details, including the location, meeting time, route, distance, grade, camping arrangements, and required gear, will be provided to approved participants after they RSVP.

Please bring appropriate gear for an overnight canyoning trip, including suitable footwear with good grip, food, water, overnight gear, dry bags, warm clothing, wet-weather gear, a wetsuit/sharkskin as it's cold, a head torch, and any personal technical gear as advised by the leaders.

Important: This trip is weather-dependent. Water levels, rainfall, access, and overall conditions will determine whether the trip goes ahead and which canyon or route is selected.
