G'day bushwalkers,
This Sunday's walk 7th March is another Luen led adventure.
Saddle Mtn, Bowling Green Bay NP (Mt Elliott area). It is a full day adventure, for the very fit and adventurous.

Car pool to the base of Saddle Mtn approximately -19.4422,147.04757
Walking up the ridgeline to the summit and then down to the WW2 aircraft Mosquito wreck. - https://maps.wanderstories.space/?id=1614812110718#-19.44703,147.03037,15z,qtopo
Return via the same route.
This is both a bushland and rainforest walk (no track) with plenty of elevation gain. Saddle Mtn is 882 mr high, so it is a big climb and no track.
The terrain is uneven under foot, and the walk is rated 'very hard'. A very good fitness is required.
There is no water source along the way, and so you will need to bring at least 4L.
Appropriate footwear and clothing are required.
Bring your own minimal first aid kit.
Also, bring a headtorch.

Clothing- as it off-track bushwalking, long sleeve clothing or gaiters is recommended. Otherwise you may have scratches on exposed skin at the end of the day.
