About this event

[EVENT FULL] SUNDAY 11 OCTOBER

REGISTRATION WITH THE WALK LEADER IS ESSENTIAL. PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW.

RATED: Mod -hard

DESCRIPTION
A club favourite walk up Palm Creek (St Margaret's Creek system) to the Terraces, Ultima Falls, Garden Wall, and High Camp. The Terraces/High Camp features many waterfalls and is one of the most scenic creeks in the region (and the state) and one of our local gems.

This will be a full day creek based hike with sections that are off track cross country over rough terrain. It will involve rockhopping, boulder scrambles, rockface traverses, scrub and vines, uneven footing, slippery rocks and a couple of steep climbs.

On way out, we'll stop at the at the Rockslides for a swim....
and most importantly, ice creams at the roadhouse on the way home to finish the day off. It will be a good day out for our adventurous bushwalkers.

FITNESS
To be suitable for this walk, a good analogy would be doing a Castle Hill spur, without a track, two-three times with ease before lunchtime.

WHAT TO BRING
- Water: you will need water for full day eg minimum 2L (refill from creek - treating the water is recommended - or bring extra)
- Clothing: long sleeve clothing is recommended. Many members also wear fingerless gloves.
- Enclosed footwear
- Food for the day. Electrolytes recommended also.
- Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent
- Usual bushwalking gear
- Personal first aid kit including a compression bandage and blister kit is recommended.

COST
Non members = $5 walk fee for insurance
Must be over 18years to participate
