This well-established track features stone stairs, treated timber steps, and a flat contour path cut into the hillside, making for a relatively easy and scenic climb atop of the lower cliffs. The walk traces the historic route once used during WWII, when “female friends” would discreetly visit soldiers stationed at the Pillar Boxes atop Castle Hill.
Restored in 2025, the Ladies’ Track ascends from the western side near the water tank, winds around beneath the cliffs and Jenkinson’s Post Lookout, and connects into the Pill Box Walk. Along the way, you’ll spot sections of original stone steps and enjoy a unique perspective of Castle Hill.
✨ A great way to add variety to your Castle Hill walks, and perfect for a relaxed Friday evening leg-stretch before the weekend!
