About this event

SUNDAY 1 NOVEMBER - Little Crystal Creek

REGISTRATION WITH THE WALK LEADER IS ESSENTIAL. PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW.

DESCRIPTION
An off track, creek based walk to explore the lower reaches of Little Crystal Creek. We'll leave from Little Crystal Creek Bridge on Mt Spec Rd and rock hop down the creek to the bottom of the range. There will be some pretty scenery, a ravine and a good waterfall to swim in at the bottom.

The forecast for Rollingstone on Sunday is 33C. There is little shade in the creek and probably no breeze until we get to the bottom (this will make the swim extra nice!).

DIFFICULTY - Medium Hard

FITNESS
It is not a long distance, but reasonable off-track fitness is required for the steep hill climb and rock hopping.

WHAT TO BRING
- Water: you will need water for half day eg minimum 3L or refill from the creek (treating the water is recommended)
- Clothing: there is a lot of long grass and scrub so full long sleeve clothing is recommended. Many members also wear fingerless gloves.
- Enclosed footwear
- Food for the day
- Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent
- Usual bushwalking gear
- Personal first aid kit including a compression bandage and blister kit is recommended.
- Swimming gear
