Leader: Mitch Nissen
Description:
Mitch Nissen, is our very own adventure racing legend who has most generously agreed to sharing his knowledge of navigating using a map and compass when in the bush.
He is also going to organise us in groups, so that we can put all that learning to practice.
We will be doing this within Clemant State Forest.
Numbers - Limited to 15
Registration via the form below is a must please as spaces are limited.
What to bring:
Come along as if you are heading on a bushwalk - so bring along your morning tea and lunch.
Please wear sun-safe clothing [ Long sleeved shirt/pants as some of the post learning navigation might need us to traverse through long grass and scrub]
Insect repellent.
Good walking shoes
Water
It is not essential, but a writing pad and pen/pencil to take notes
A baseplate compass [available at Anaconda, Tent World or similar stores] if you have one would be good as there might not be enough to go around.
